Like Jared said specifics would be helpful but ill throw something general out there...

If you are looking to be noticed then stop focusing on yourself. No one but you cares much about JUST you. People around you care about the interaction between you and themselves, basically what can you do for them.
Focus on other people, what they are concerned with, what they are dealing with right now, what they need from you and in general. If you do that people will notice you.

Find community events and participate. If none exist, start them. If there are coffee events nearby, go to them and offer to help out - washing dishes, running milk, working as a station instructor.

Basically, rather than just saying you have a lot to offer, go out and actually offer your skills to your community. It'll pay off.
