If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Long Story Short Coffee has been transplanted into Montana soil. We'll see what comes up in spring. I'm now full-time with the Cup of Excellence - working toward Quality discovery and appreciation.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
hi jon- i hope you had a nice holiday! happy new year! i have a few pictures i would like to send you. i'll look for an email address on long story. take care
How's the competition practice going? I've been thinking about going over and helping with the Mountain Regional Barista Champion. If you head this way we should get together.
Yo Jon! Looking forward to seeing you soon. I can hardly believe mr. barista competition is coming up so soon. If you have any questions about anything, you know how to find me.
Jon,
You may remember me from 2005 SCAA. I worked for Visions and you were behind the Mirage machine at our booth. It was nice to see your feature in Bmag! If you ever some through Wenatchee feel free to drop in. Keep up the good work!
I just drove in from Durham and should no doubt be sleeping. But I'm caught in the midst of the battle between brain and body--body wants to sleep...brain wants to think. I think I'll cast my vote with the body.
And yes, I am sorta on permanent Japan time...always at the ready.
No MRBC for College Market this year. Nathan decided that he really would not have enough time to train and focus, which was a hard but real decision. I wanted so bad to go for the judges training, but since Feb. 29 is my 3rd wedding anniversary no Colorado for me either this year. I am planning a trip your way, actually to Plummer ID, in May.
I was told to drop you a line from every freaking person at Kaldi's and ask for some coaching lessons. They said watching you was one of the best/most polished performances they'd seen. Congrats!!!
Jon! Congrats on the win! Sorry I missed the event, I was in Denver the week prior and I cried when I found out I was early. See you at USBC, keep rockin the house yo.
Hey Jon,
I was one of your judges at the mountain regionals. Thanks for the great drinks and excellent presentation. You're a true pro and it was awesome to see your performance up close.
Hey Jon great to meet you at Denver hopet to see you at Nationals, good luck with kid #2, from another dad to be.
Love to check out the truck some time, maybe a road trip to St.Louis for ya
Great to see you again Jon...a job well done and always a pleasure. Sorry you will miss USBC, but obviously for great reasons! Congrat's to you both and I hope to be able to catch up with you one way or another.....
it was a dream, and an awesome one. thank you so much for your inspirational performance. monday morning everyone at work was asking if we can secure a date for the 2009 mr. bc! can you e-mail me your address so that we can mail something?
Thank you tons for coming out for our little Jam. It was a real treat to work with you and to watch you work. Next time drive the truck out. And thanks for the Sanani.
I forgot to mention, I had a great time meeting and hanging out with Leanne and Justin.
I just might do that next year, so Doug should be afraid. We'll see, it's just hard to juggle it all, especially with a family. Are you having a baby soon?
Don't know if you saw your mention here: http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_8526412. I told her that I tear up, not you. I seem to have bad luck being mis-quoted and named with the Denver media. It's nice that she included us in her article, especially the mentioning of Long Story Short- she's probably the most popular food writer in Denver.
No refrigerating my herbs. I'm stoked to see how this plays out... Being that my presence in Minneapolis depends on my performance in the Western... Who knew working for a company with so many desiring competitors could be a bad thing?
It's interesting. I always have felt that regional results should determine who has entry to the US... But I wasn't planning on being the guy who lives in the same region as a hungry USBC who wants to defend her title... not to mention my coworkers... The weekend will be a blast, but I'm not expecting any kind of cakewalk... I'll be blogging and hopefully have some good photos and videos to share with the world!
Just wanted to say thanks again for your hospitality yesterday. Looking forward to more coffee and discussions. I'll send you more contact info. when I get settled in.
Heard you hung out with Rob the other day.... you might want to check and make sure he didn't swipe your all your table salt as he's a notorious fiend for the Sodium Chloride...
I can't tell you how excited for you to be a new daddy!
My mother has been an ob/gyn nurse for nigh on 40 years now, and my family gets real excited to hear about good people becoming parents.
