If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I don't actively work our location any longer, however I do train both our staff & customers. I am always interested in learning new techniques & styles so I may share with others.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
India, which I am headed Jan. 2008. Colombia, Jamacia, Bali. I'll stop there.
About Me:
I am a fairly low keyed person. Make friends easily & enjoy good conversation on just about any subject, especially if it involves coffee (SMILE). I am the master blender & secondary roaster to my partner of whom is the master roaster.
About My Company:
We at Seattle Gourmet Coffee have been serving our customers since 1994, in the Seattle area and abroad (both nationally & internationally). We are a (family) corporation dedicated to providing freshly roasted gourmet coffees to both commercial and non-commercial customers. In addition to roasting we also offer business training & consulting in the coffee/espresso industry; barista training; equipment sales; private labeling; custom roasting & blending; site locating (when sites are available), and some contract roasting.

Alrighty then, I'll do that. it's been awhile since I've had an opportunity to visit any of the forums. I've been quite busy. Just now coming up for air (SMILE). Heading to India in a couple of weeks. I'll try and get some good photos.
Sean,I will look forward to your return, I can't wait to see the pictures..I've always wanted to go to India, My friend Andrea went there with Mike from Karnataka and really enjoyed the trip.
Hey Steve...As a matter of fact thats who I'm going with. A group of other roasters and myself are going over with Mike & Ujwala. I'm looking forward to this educational trip. I'll get back with you upon my return.
Hi sean
have a save trip to India, I wood like to meet with some time and talk about my new product for cleaning espresso machines .
talk to you later.
Wow!!! I'm back and India was amazing! Now it's time to catch up on a lot of stuff. I made some new friends during this trip both roasters and growers alike. I'm currently trying to write a story about my trip and briefly cover the tours we took. I also shot a few photos (about 400). I will be posting it on my website once I've completed it and double check all of my sources to make sure it is all correct. BTW I'd like to send a shout out to Miguel Meza---Who was also part of this trip...YO BOOOOYYYY!!! Did we have a great time or what???
Hey everyone I have added the second insert of the article I wrote about my trip to India last month. I've also included a few photos. Check it out and give me your feed back. I'm writing it as more of a feature article than an educational article. Thought I would have more fun with it.
I´m new on the barista exchange platform and come from Hamburg/Germany. I`ve been in Seattle/Vancouver and Portland this January/February and felt like home because of the rain :-) You mentioned in a comment an few weeks ago that you roast on a Diedrich. I intend to buy a IR-12 for a new shop in Hamburg. We have two shops and roast our coffee in a small hot air roaster. Perhaps you can give me your opinion to the Diedrich mashines.
