I will be calling all WRBC competitors this week to schedule competition times. P.S. I receive so many emails on a daily basis I am not always able to respond in a timely manner. In the future please call me if you need an immediate answer to a question. -Thank you.
I hope to post some pics soon but I have been pretty busy. I am getting married so that takes a lot of planning. The pic that is "me" is of a coffee ceremony at Giday farm in Limmu.
very small chance. I would love to see you Jay, just have one heck of a busy spring so far. What's new in your world, what are you cupping, how is the cafe??
You are lame.....
Just go ahead and run off to go have great coffee and fun times....
We'll all just chill here...FREE CRAPAFRINOS AND FRAPADOODLES FOR ALL.....
No Minnesota for me. Andy and Monica are on their way and I get to hang out in San Diego and Camarillo for a couple of trainings. Are you planning on competing? Peace!
You better bring me back some kick ass coffee, or equipment, or knowledge, or something. If not......well...... frapadoodles for everyone on the house.
Hey! We specialise in Belgian chocolate as well as espresso. There's a huge chocolate fountain at the front of the store, hundreds of quality chocolate to choose from, cakes, chocolate fondues, waffles. All the good stuff really. It's very hard to stop myself from eating my whole shift through.
thanks J...they were supposed to finish the whole thing though. You gotta get the full effect. Maybe I'll hook you up sometime. P.S. I owe you five bucks!
Hi J - great to find you on Bx...looking forward to reading your posts too! Thanks again for the tour of your shop and for sharing your wisdom. Looking forward to coming to one of your cuppings too! Ciao!
Portland was AWESOME! Great town, and great folks at the ABC. I am really motivated to get into this crazy biz now. Would love to join you on Friday. Ok to bring a few friends?
CounterCulture Friday was awesome J - thanks for putting it on BX ! Have to agree - the Pele was awesome - amazing flavors that come out of it - so happy to see such a crowd there for the event too...congrats!
hey dooder, so me and my roomie have been trying to build these brewers for our little garage project. Last night I totally started an electrical fire. We have pictures from the night unfortunately non from that but I assure you it was awesome.
It's the men in green...shit I was hoping to sell out to them after coming up with a production model. Also I built a small home roaster and threw down my first roast this morning. It turned out pretty good but I now need to make some design mods. You guys will have to come over and play once the gargae is all hooked up.
Hey J:
I was checking out Paradise Roasters and they mentioned you as a reference. Could you tell me how you selected them and how they are to work with? I'm concerned with them being out of state, the timeliness/quality of their stuff on arrival. Since you're in California too, I thought talking to you would be helpful. I'm narrowing my selection down and liked what you said on the coffeeshop blog about using two roasters. Could you expand on that thought? Many thanks!
Hey - doin' ok...slowly moving along...yes, this takes forever doesn't it! All my friends and co-workers keep asking - "Are you open yet?" grrrrrr
I'm sure you've been there! You don't just snap your fingers and make this all happen, do you?!? I'm working out details on a potential location, but its a 50/50 that it will go thru...are you going to CoffeeFest??
J: Thank you so much for responding back and your feedback on Paradise Roasters! What roasters do you work with? I was looking at Ecco in Sonoma...any California-based roasters you like?
God damn cool points always ruin my life.
FYI I started home brewing again dropped a batch of fresh hopped oktober fest. I'm probably gonna have a little get together when it drops.
The good people on high have, in that lovely piece of British parlance, made me redundant. Instead of callin' y'all, (some ho' named Justine gets the fun now) my dulcet tones get to be used proselytizing to the masses...aka sales and education. I've actually got some cirricula set up for sensory skills classes if you're interested in givin' em a gander...
yes! I don't think I can leave San Francisco. Are you here now? I'm off on a vacation momentarily and we'll be back October 5. Maybe we can connect up after that.
