What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
Coffee & the customers (well, most of the customers) Oh yeah, and the money (hah! Right!)
Hey Mitch, we do 2 different markets, one is fairly small and based in a large apartment complex in San Francisco, the other is in downtown Burlingame. We get a lot of regular, loyal customers, and most people come prepared to buy, as they're getting their produce for the week etc. We tried doing an Art and Jazz festival this month and it was HORRIBLE! We do much MUCH better at the farmers' markets, but I still don't do it for the money ;)
Hope you can stop by in Sept. I'd love to meet you and introduce you to my husband and the gang. We should be well on our way with the renovations by then. I'm working on the new layout now. I'm trying to remember all the traffic flow rules and do's and don'ts. We are going to put the sandwich prep bar and panini and soup just inside the back kitchen so we can keep those smells away from the coffee smells out front. I'm so excited to see the a real time goal.

you need to talk to my friend jon. he is doing coffee out of a truck here in coeur d'alene. bet you two would have a lot to talk about. u'll find him on my friends list )on lewis.
What a cool concept Mitch. From the pics it looks like you have both a trailer and a cart. I've been planning for an inline store, but with the current economy, I'm thinking it might be more practical to start with a cart or kiosk. I'm kind of curious what has been more profitable for you - the concession trailer or catering?
