If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Some of my skills include proper shot extraction, milk steaming (respect the micro foam), latte art and drinking lots of coffee. I'm Currently the Barista Trainer for Press Coffee Roasters in Phoenix, AZ
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
I would like to travel first within the USA, I really want to visit Portland, Northern California, Boston, NYC, and Chicago. Outside the USA I want to visit Vancouver B.C., Italy, France, and the Netherlands.
About Me:
I have been in the coffee business in one form or another for about 10 years, but I got serious about four years ago. I live in Phoenix but my home will always be Washington (the state, I can't stand when you say your from WA and people assume your from DC). I love everything coffee and I can't stop thinking about it (is that a bad thing). I'm totally into roasting, I dig that I have a huge influence of the the final product.
About My Company:
We are passionate about roasting and offering incredible coffee, delicious food, and wonderful wine. In fact, that’s how we came up with our name PRESS… coffee French PRESS, panini PRESS sandwiches, and wine PRESS. We focus on fresh roasted boutique coffee's with a focus on social responsibility. We also offer more large variety of boutique wines and beers. Most importantly, we pride ourselves in the quality of our food and drinks along with our friendly baristas and chefs.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
What....GC trying to take you away from our family??????? Man, this sucks! Haha. It was great chatting today in the roastery. Some days we hardly get hang time. Anyways.....I'll bring you those green samples tomorrow.
Kenya AA in the Chemex.........ah ya.........
It'll better tasting tomorrow I'm sure. Heather in our little 'ol state! Sounds cool to me. That's pretty cool that GC is bringing her in. Maybe you can give HP a bowling ball as a thank you gift?
Hey cupping on Saturday might be a little hard. We can still do it though. I'll have the kids all morning while Vanessa is gone. We could plan it for early afternoon maybe???
Looking for a head barista to train and compete and help roast...Mitch, you interested. Heard great things about your latte art. Want to put Phoenix on the map in the coffee community!
Sadly, not my latte art. I specialize in natural disasters, bird droppings, etc, not rosetta's. I Miss you guys too. Things are going very well, great actually. I look forward to seeing you at SCAA Atlanta! We should plan on rooming together. How things going for you?????
Indeed! I don't think most people get my enthusiasm for coffee except other coffee enthusiasts. People think I'm crazy, but it's just so much fun for me. I love making coffee. <3
Mitch, great training yesterday, I felt like I was back at ABCs ...except a condensed version. I want to talk with you more regarding our opening, can you send me an email so that we can chat....
