What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?: Definitely - Ethiopia. Here in Hawaii, we cannot import green bean coffee from Africa due to the Coffee Berry Disease (CBD). Another would be Panama or Indonesia. Any major Coffee Producing country i guess.
About Me:: I have been in the coffee industry for about 6 years. I have worked in many cafes in Honolulu as a Barista, Head Supervisor, Trainer and Head Roaster.
About My Company:: I have had so much fun wearing so many hats and finally had a chance to open a cafe here in Hawaii. The name of the cafe is "Downtown Coffee" and we have been open for about a month. I roast on a Diedrich IR-3 and do small batches to serve incredibly fresh coffee for drip and espresso.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?: The people out there who are as fanatical about coffee as I am.

BTW, we don't import coffee into Hawaii not because of leaf rot but because of Coffee Berry Disease (CBD).

Yes. We are open M-F 7am to 6pm. We are a very new cafe so I am there all the time. Do you go to Glazer's Coffee? Sang is a good buddy of mine and I think he has talked about you.
