    Dear Katie,

I hope life is treating you well. I'm hoping to see New York by the end of the year... It kind of needs to happen. Anyway, I figured I would check in and see how awesome your new job is... Tell me about it.

Hi Katie, I`m starting to recruit world-class trainers & baristas to train the local baristas at the american coffee growing countries. The idea is to cover the expenses (air ticket+hotel+food) for a 3 day trip (at least) with sponsor support. The venture will start by February 2009, if you`re able to delay your holidays it could be the best way to visit Argentina (for free). Best regards, Federico
  • James McCarthy

That would be awesome. Let me know if you need a place to crash. So, no compete?

  • Mike Sala

Uhm, hells yes, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, given the host fam set up, I can't have guests, but please come, it'd be très merveilleux. I know some people from murky (specifically Liz and Erin) said they might want to come over, too; maybe you could group hostile if you wanna cut costs. Just let me know, I'm totally down.
  • Phil Proteau

I got over my cold and tried the Royal Washed again, and you were sooooo right.
  • Benjamin H Wilkinson

Thank you for the delicious ccc spro on the GB5. We're in CT and I'd love to know how you made the move from barista to hospitality, customer service, manager, lead, professional something or other that Nick Cho called you on Sunday.

  • David Fritzler

I agree with Ben and Jon below. However, I used up Jon's comment in the yearbook of someone I didn't know very well (J-o-n by the way is my brother's name and my middle name. My parents and I aren't very original). Anyway, I have some great photos to give you but I'm a computer moron and don't know how to put them here. So I guess I'll send yo a stink eye in my dreams. Sleep tight.
  • Dan Griffin

    what is soup?
  • Phil Proteau

Katie, that was a hell of an installation, only a few drips and a few extra drill holes, and nothing blew up. Who could ask for more. Till next time.

  • Troy Lucas

BTW, you and Phil rock -- as if you didn't know! I gained LOTS of info. on how to correct things -- when not using my espresso, of course -- and have actually been able to help some businesses around town to improve their technique.

What color will the hair be next? Hmm.....
  • Mike Sala

Your barista exchange ranking is so much higher than mine, fuck. I wish I were a real coffee professional; I think I'm just going roll around a suitcase in the metro to add a new level to my masquerade.
