yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I own Town Hall Coffee Co. in Merion Station, PA just outside Philadelphia. We are a multi-roaster shop featuring the best coffees from coast to coast, using v-60, syphon, Chemex and our 3-gp La Marzocco GS2 paddle. Our second location opens this summer!
About Me:
Father, Espresso maven, Entrepreneur.
About My Company:
Town Hall Coffee Co.- Extreme Quality in all things coffee. A shop where baristas work toward competition-winning skills, and becoming true coffee experts.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
That's no classical guitar, that's pure steel string. I don't mess with that nylon stuff. I would love to work on my lap slide anytime I can get out of the house for some pickin'.
Oh, I get you, actually the Gibson in the photo is about 45 years old, so yes, it is a "classic". I also re-built a Sturgis which is only 34 years old. The Sturgis actually makes a better travel guitar, so I might bring that one.
Glad the coffee worked for you! I don't have a computer so my ability to check this thing isn't so hot. I will be in Ithica. I am kinda freaking out a bit but everything will be cool. I will bring a guitar for sure duder!
Been hanging in Lancaster, watching the buggies roll down the street.
Amish guy walks up to a drive through espresso hut. That's not a joke set up, it is a thing I saw yesterday.
I'll have to get you to pose for another photo, it was accidentally set on close up and so the focus was way out, I mean we're talking Fay Dunaway soft focus. And flu girl's picture was awesome; so much emotion, so much personality, so much fever sweat.
The ceramic filter holders are the melita 3 hole. These are the ones that I would fill in the holes with epoxy and drill out an orifice of my chosen diameter to regulate the dwell time properly. Otherwise the plastic one hole cones are ideal except for their propensity to accumulate and impart oil flavors.
Howdy Mr. Noble...It depends on which Nobles on the EC. I live in the MD area but my entire family lives in PA (pittsburgh area) and NY (niagra area). Email me sometime as I work for a company who is always looking to help local coffee companies. My email is fred.noble@allegrocoffee.com
no tim, im afraid you're mistaken. i am not the moonwalking bear. or the man with the sweatband. unfortunate, i know. i wish i was more involved with what we like to call "stealth-dancing" among sports events. if it were me ... i would have been doing the wu-tang rather than the moonwalk.
next time i see you i expect you to have this dance down -

There ya are! I figured you had headed back to the guitar room early on saturday. Man, the weather is sweet here right now. I ended working from the tent this afternoon, and it was a great day. For sure ping me when you are headed back up to Ithaca.
no kidding! thanks for the pointer. it made engadget yesterday so its getting a pretty good ride. apparently a german tv station wants to do a little bit on it too, LOL.
Hey Tim, good to hear from you again! I'm hoping that It won't be too long before I make it back out to your neck of the woods. There is a possibility I will be in New York (which is apparently closer to Philly than Portland) in Late June or early July. Hope all is well!
September eh, great time to roll out another bambino....Congrats to you all!
I was just thinking about Town Hall Coffee the other day, glad to hear you are thinking of visiting Providence. I'll shoot you an e-mail with some lodging ideas. You'll be camping with the family right?
Tim, good to hear from you. How soon till opening?
Philly trips are few and far between, but I heard a rumor that the only folks who have put in for sponsoring/hosting the MARBC are in Princeton, so we'd be out east for that.
Even after six years here, it's still hard to comprehend that Philly is a longer trip than DC, Baltimore, Detroit, Cincy or Toronto. Pittsburgh should be in the Midwest region!
Hey Tim,
30's here too, with my own 2 kids...it just made sense to me. Love the Sunday morning music idea. I'm also thinking of possible children's authors coming in etc. I don't want to drive away the "non parents" so the kid's stuff can't be too over the top- not the disney store with coffee. Are you open now and doing the kid's thing?
Hey Tim, love to hear how things go. We are doing a dedicated kid's area as well. Anytime I mention what we are doing, the parents can't wait! We will be going for quality coffee for mom and dad and some fun stuff for the little ones..I wish I was around sooner! Best of luck with everything, I'd love to see some pics of your place if you have any on your website. Have fun with number two - wow is it busy!! Yay for coffee!!
