Then I headed down south to be the Coffee Boss at Octane Coffee Bar and Lounge, then to the west coast to work at Ritual Coffee Roasters. Now I'm proud to be a part of the new Intelligentsia project in Venice.

M'lissa. Greetings. We didn't meet in DC, but, I saw Ben throw down the winning pour. I've been wanting to put together a barista certification of my own at our store here in Yale-town, and, wondered if you shared Octane standards with other humble, aspiring stores out there?

    Best,

    Benjamin

Hey, m'lissa. Are you going to be in town Monday, May 5th. I'm going to be coffee touring from Gainsville to Charlotte that week and would love to learn about Octane. I always see y'all in Barista Magazine, but haven't been there yet. Check out my itinerary, let me know if you have any suggestions.

By the way, have you tried a whynatte yet? They're delicious; truely, a drink of contraditions. Delete Comment

Sorry to hear that, but I'm sure USBC will be fun. You have any recomendations for other stops along the route? Also, should I ask for anything specific at Octane? I'd love to hear more about your training program.

    m'lissa,
Just noticed your crazy high rank on the ridiculous ranking scale here and remembered we bumped into each other at USBC. Anywho, just talked to some friends who are up your way and happened to ask me the other day, "have you ever heard of octane?" I just laughed and it made me think of you. Didn't realize you're with Ritual now. Hope that Cali is going well.
  • Doctor Seidler

    M'lissa,

Check out my friend's coffee roasting site: www.cafedelsol.com . It's awsome! He's got some recipes for cold brew "essence". I had it at his house and it's great.
