    Hi Roger,
I'd love to talk to you about Brasil, I specialize in the coffees from the Cerrado/S.Minas regions, 80 points and above....and I'd love to have someone to visit in Monterey.
    Cheers, Steve

    Bom dia Roger,
That's fantastic, I've only been there once so far but I'm hoping to go this July. I was a judge at the Cerrado cupping competition in in Minas Gerais and now work with Bruno Souza, a 4th generation coffee farmer whose farm I stayed on when I was there.

Thank you. It was nice to meet you too. Hope to see you some time soon.

Oh man, a mobile coffee business. I love that idea. I would love to learn more about your unit: Who built it; The equipment; The challenges. I've been researching that aspect of the business for a couple months and haven't found an enormous amount of information. I located a franchise - Cuppy's Coffee - they have a very nice looking unit but their program is $50K plus. I'm to old to make that level of investment. One of my ideas was to "pull" around to all the auto dealers (there a lot in my area) like the vending trucks do and add some "zip" to the salespeople.

    Hugh,
I'm yet at work and so I'll respond later, but I have information on it. My investment has been under 10,000US. There are pitfalls and there advantages. I'm no expert but but have learned a few things. Our oufit is contained within a Bajaj FE delivery 3wheeler. It is the same as the famous Italian, Piaggio Ape. At present I am constructing a 4'x4' trailer to tow behind it. The health department requires sinks and grey water tanks, hot water,etc.,etc.
The updside is the fun and minimal costs. The downside will be your Riverside County Health Dept. It can be done!
  • Hugh Mooney

Roger; Thanks for your quick reply. Know about meeting County standards. That's what was neat about the unit Cuppy's has. It's got all the required stuff - really nice unit. Would like to "reproduce" something like it. .

Roger...don't know if my emails made it. My address is alsterling@earthlink.net Plenty of spam and such filtering, so just add coffee monterey vespa, etc. to the subject line. I'll get back to you with my contact info. Looks like a Silvia in the back of the Moto Espresso?
  • Alun Evans

Haha I like it! You know the Bajaj is regarded as the scum rat of Jakarta due to the many 000 of them causing mayhem on the roads here... however thanks to your posts I see them now in a much mire favorable light

sweet sweet cart!! My wife and I have two vespas from 1978 and 1981. P200e

This is just the coolest idea! I'd like to do something unique (but different), along these lines. Do you need a permit to just pull up somewhere and start flinging espresso? I'm sure the rules are different for each state, but I would think you'd have to clear it with each municipality (??)
