I have been working for a coffee shop on my colleges campus for almost 4 years where I have learned numerous skills by practicing, reading Barista Magazine, and learning from Alterra.

I like a lot of music, it pretty much rules my life. I spend most of my time working and managing the shops on campus and working on my college majors. I love to drink coffee and wine and be social with other enthusiasts of any kind.

    Thanks for your post--there may be an opportunity for you shortly...friend of mine in Milwaukee (home roaster and part-time distributor for a green coffee buying club) is arranging a cupping this Friday for a group of Wisconsin women. I believe the moniker is Wisconsin women's cupping group (WWCG). Idea is to get a different perspective from what has been (in general) a man's world at the cupping table. Both Dave and my contacts at coffee importers are women, and they report that theirs is the lone female voice at the table.

    That's rad, I wonder if you deal with the same issue i do...wondering if getting the degree will actually do any good =) I really just want to open my shop right now! Maybe while you're here we could meet up at a shop and share some ideas and what not, I usually have days free and like i said, live close to Pablos.

    What days are you here again? I have class or work at night during the week and am usually at my boyfriend's on the weekends but i would totally be down for trying to work something out.
