I love to train new quality baristas! I have grown to crave the smell of roasting coffee in the morning. I love to learn more about coffee and collect data from cuppings, roasting profiles and analysis.

    Chris; Wow, I just found the Barista Exchange yesterday. So, you're up there east and a bit north of Saginaw. Was born in Ypsilanti. Lived over in the Grand Rapids area as a kid and spent a couple years outside Detroit in '89 - '91, in the Brighton area. Best of luck to you.

    Slow. I need more practice. And I'm pretty sure people keep telling me to do things wrong. So I'm having trouble making good microfoam like you showed me, because everyone here just sets it down with the steaming wand in the milk and lets it go.

    However, I did have an older European couple say the espressos I made for them were good, so that's nice.

    H Yeah! I think that it already has been. If you noticed, officially I am a grower of coffee :). I haven't been to the farm, but it is myself and 3 friends from Columbia who want to cut out about 3 stages of middlemen. I'm thinking about getting a table-top roaster for fun, just because I will access to some of the best origin coffee's around.
