If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Have been working in coffee shops since I was 16, currently working in The Roundy, Cork which is bar and cafe by day and rocking bar and gig venue by night. There's always something happening :) We serve cakes pastries soups and sambos, and obviously great coffee.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Definitely interested in travelling, anywhere at all!! :)
About Me:
I love coffee, baking, irish dancing and have a tendency to speak my mind always, and it inevitably gets me into trouble!
just a roastery at the moment, though cafe may be open in a few months. Let me know when you're coming over and we can arrange to get a coffee either at our roastery or perhaps in a cafe in London.
Whose coffee do you use in Cafe Depeche? and why cafe depeche?
hello I have considered filing for my citezenship papers and moving to open an in house roaster...check out my place..friendsroastery.com..:)I love ireland!
Hey Jen, Are you guys open on sundays? Coming down this Sunday. Might pop to the new unit on College road if you are open. Might see you when down there. Chris
Argh, You just brought my attention to the fact that i've a really bad photo on here!! We'll have to organise something between our places of work like a comp, jam or just going out night. How come i can't get your web site up??
Hi Jen, You should enter the IBC competition. Its great crack and always seems to end up been a big session. And besidesI am one of the judges so at leat you will know someone there already. I will also forward you the details of the competition. If you have any questions on it just ask. I haven't been back home for a while but the next time I am going to Cork I will let you know & will definetly call into you. Other than that you could call to Bewleys in Dublin. Damo....
Ah, very good! You'd give Jessica Fletcher a run for her money. Definitley organise something soon. Trying to do something in Ireland since the days when Stephen and Deaton were still here. Yeah, i'm going for the ibc again. Did it last year with not much prep but it was more to see what it was about. It's a good laugh and you get to meet great people. You done much in the world of coffee? By the way - who blew my cover??!!
Hi Jen, No qualifiers necessary for the IBC or Latte Art. Closing date is 01-01-09. If you do decide to enter I would advise you to study the judging forms very well. Easy to lose points during to competition for stupid things. I can email those forms to you or available online. As for nerves - a few valium will sort that out. If you do go for it you can get a run through before hand. Damo....
Depeche Mode...now there is a band that brings back some hazzy 80's memories! How are things going in Ireland? Seems the "I" as the first letter of a country is a bit of an economic curse... "Iceland, "Indonesia".... our currency has just crashed 18% in 3 days grrrrrr.
Sure thing Jen, do that. I would love to visit Ireland- being a Kiwi I think NZ and Ireland have a lot of things in common. Rugby for one! We are playing Ireland at Landsdowne Road Nov 15th... conveniently I will be in Trieste so should be able to watch the game on TV.
Hahaha, all rugby comments are taken very serious by us Kiwis. At least we beat the Aussies in Hong Kong on Saturday. We have not done any exchange work but could be an option next year. By summer you mean yours I am guessing (June-Aug??)
Never made it down to cork - been off work with gladular fever!! Only back properly today. Tried to do a few days but it was just not happening! I'm grand now. How's things down in rebel country? were you busy for the feativals that were on? At least i got to watch the rugby at the weekend when i was off, shame Scotland lost. You any plans for coming up to Kilkenny way?
will be down tomorrow night, thurs and friday in cork. Give me a shout if you're working. Want to sample this hot choc i keep hearing about! How's things with you?
Was in for my morning coffees tues and wed - very nice! Didn't see you. The girls said that you don't do any work and just sit around all day. Lucky if you even come in!! Only joking. Give me a shout if you're ever in kilkenny. Might see you next week in cork. Chris
Got an email from Chris earlier with a new name from latte art. Thought it was you. I have the rules. Have you an email address that I can forward them to. If so send me an email to dmarshall@bewleys.ie. Damian
