Ha ha Marc, I think Jacinta has it about right. My rule of thumb is if you look at a national barista championship and Starbucks Barista are like in the top 10- then that country has a huge amount of room for Independent cafe and coffee. I would indeed love to set up something in the Phils, have mentioned it to a few othr Filippinos I have meet on BX. We have 2 cafes opening here in Jakarta plus Singapore on the boards for this year- maybe 2010? If you are serious about at least learning the buiness in a chain store, I know the Figaro owners and could put a word in for you?
