Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Have been managing, owning, coordinating, training and running a store for around 5 years and have learned a few things along the way. I do not feel I will ever learn it all or have reached some pinacle but am passionate about coffee, loose leaf tea and stellar customer service. I am very confident pulling beautiful spaghetti strands of golden espresso and steaming velvety smooth slightly sweet milk. I have a good sense of efficency and making every move count when behind the bar and making every item go as far with as little waste as possible. I have a very, very positive attitude and am thankful to have a large reserve of patience when in general but especially when it comes to training and evaluating new employees or product procedures. I have been through the worst of the business when our first attempt failed and I had to file personal and corporate bankruptcy, my wife, children and I were emotionally and physically stunned for days. But thanks to very good and supportive friends and a never quit attitude we are open once again, with a new name however after performing some delicate legal hopscotch. Due to this I do not have a pie in the sky attitude about things and realize very much that regarding the business part of it it is very serious business, but that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't enjoy every minute of such a great opportunity as owning your own successful coffeehouse business.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Any European destinations would be thrilling but other destinations within the states would also be appealing.
About Me:
I am 40, married for 16 years and my wife and I have two daughters, our oldest is 13 and our youngest is 9. I play guitar, love books, am fascinated by slight of hand prestidigitation, am a big fan of Charlie"The bird" style be-bop jazz but also very much like the raw blues of "The Black Keys". Have always had a strong desire to travel and experience the rest of the world and its cultures but have never had the chance.
About My Company:
We sell bulk, fresh locally roasted coffees and bulk loose leaf teas (over 80 loose leaf teas currently). We also brew our coffees and teas for our eager customers. We bake some pastries here and are currently on the verge of venturing out into the world of Panini's. Our shop is a walk-in sit down with a drive-up window. Lots of comfortable seating, free wi-fi and warm colors. Our goal is to truly embody the idea of a third place.
