If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
yes
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I have been working at The Java House in Iowa City since 2006. It is the first coffee shop I've worked in, although coffee shops were some of my favorite hangouts before moving to Iowa City. I enjoy working to improve my latte art skills, and trying to make the Franke Evolutions at our kiosk locations run the best shots they can. But of course, I would prefer to be using a La Marzocco all of the time.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
France, England, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Sweden, New York City, Chicago. Really anywhere with a cafe and/or coffee farm... or coffee roasters.
About Me:
I graduated from The University of Iowa with an art degree in May of 2009, and decided to continue exploring the art of coffee in Iowa City. I would imagine that when I move on to a different job and place, I will need to maintain a part time job at a coffee shop FOREVER!
About My Company:
The Java House is located in Iowa City. We have four cafes (with seating and La Marzocco Lineas), and three kiosks at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (Using Franke Evolutions). I train new baristas, repair and maintain the equipment, and work behind the bar as a barista. Delightful!
