Air is best for small batch roasting. Like roasting to order for the retail customer. I also find that because of the small batch up to 3lbs. seems to be more consistent of a roast.

Only negative is that you can not hear the crack. you must be always monitoring the final product and adjust temps as needed

I was just curious to what kind of air roaster you guys use? Also, what do you think are some of the benefits of air roasting vs. drum roasting?
