Just came back from one hell of a road trip. Andrew (Kopplin) and I drove to DC and back this weekend for Coffee Fest DC 08. That's the area that I grew up and most of my family is still there so the trip it self was nothing new. We left Thursday after we opened and drove the 17 hours thru the night. Arrived Friday afternoon ate, napped, and dropped Kopplin off with a friend so I could hang with my family and some friends. Saturday we went down to Coffee Fest early because I was entered in the… Continue

I spent this morning pulling $30.00 shots. Thats right. $30.00. If you havn't heard, Miguel Meza (of Paradise Roasters) had started this incredibly interesting side company called R. Miguel. I pulled roughly 20 for people willing to give their taste buds an experience not easily forgotten. I relate pulling those shots to child birth. The intensity of properly handling and… Continue

I never got a chance to catch you in Anaheim, but I did watch your first round performance and was happy to see you advance! You did a great job and I heard murmurs that the sig drink was delicious. I wanted to try it.

Hope you are well, sir!

How's Seattle treatin' ya? For a brief moment the Twin Cities had a nice coffee buzz goin'. I often blame you and Pat for killing it.

It was sad to hear that you left the Minnesota; your talents will be missed. I am sure that our paths will cross again. Let me know where I can find you behind the bar, I am always looking for a reason to go to Seattle.
