About Me:
I have had ADD my entire life. In addition to coffee, ADD has helped me fit various interests into a 24 hour period. In addition to my coffee business, I have owned a custom surfboard and surfwear company, raced Singlespeed, cyclocross and road bikes for Gianni Cyclery. I coach Cross Country for Jr. High kids and am an avid runner. I owned/operated a pirate radio station as well as hosted a talk show (before I was fined by the FCC), Served in the Navy and was based in Keflavik, Iceland before Iceland was all the rage. Was arrested in the 6th grade by the FBI for Extortion and Blackmail. I have used the same Zassenhaus grinder every morning for over 25 years. I walked the entire circumference of Tasmania in 2000. I still don't remember why I decided to do that.
About My Company:
Taylor Maid Farms is a 100% certified organic, shade-grown and fair-trade coffee roaster, based in Sebastopol, California. Taylor Maid Farms sustainable practices include: packaging its products in recyclable steel packaging, delivering it goods in bio-diesel powered vehicles, recycling its waste at its on-site worm farm and roasting coffee on “low emission” roasters.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
The people and the places.
