The Eastern Regional Barista Championship is one of four regional qualifying competitions being held across the country this summer, leading up to the Canadian Barista Championship hosted by Krups in October.

The first, second and third place winners of each respective regional championship will secure a place at the Canadian Barista Championship hosted by Krups, taking place at Canadian Coffee & Tea Show in Montreal on October 21st & 22nd, 2008. The eventual winner of the Canadian Barista Championship hosted by Krups, will represent Canada at the World Barista Championship in Atlanta, Georgia on April 16-19, 2009.
