Red Berry Coffee bar is brand new to the specialty coffee industry as well as downtown San Jose, CA. However a portion of our staff including our owner/founder Jeff Hampton are not. Upon his departure from a particular field within the greater tech industry, Jeff H. decided to embark on a journey serving his south bay community amazing coffee. After completing training at the American Barista and Coffee School, he began scouting the south bay area for a location and researching the plethera of choices amongst the local specialty coffee roasting culture.

Red Berrry now resides at 231 east santa clara st, downtown sj, in the vintage tower building. Formerly Broken Door espresso, a Blue Blottle wholesale account. Once finding his location, Jeff then chose to carry 3 local roasters, Barefoot Coffee of San Jose, ca, Ritual Coffee of San Francisco, ca, and Ecco Caffe of Santa Rosa, ca. Jeff and the staff have recieved training from both Barefoot and Ritual.

Red Berry employs a few Coffee veterans in Chris G., cafe manager as well as former cafe manager of the Barefoot Coffee cafe. Chris while being a long time barista has experience judging barista competitions, pursues a voice acting career, and annihilates folk in Brazillian jujitsu. In addition to Chris, Red Berry also is now home to former Barefoot Coffee production wiz Jeff G. Jeff has experience in all facets of coffee wholesale minus roasting and sales. Now attempting to become a professional barista, Jeff G. also has much experience in the specialty automotive industry building cool cars for cool Kats and loves to get down on a gretsch guitar. We also employ Brandon the artist mad man with skills behind the pens, Emily the former chola from the southside, Kathi the salsa dancing asian queen book worm, and Tre student/pastor to be on razor scooter.

With a great focus and commitment on serving San Jose amazing coffees from passionate artisan roasters, in the form of incredible specialty drinks crafted by dedictated, coffee struck baristas, Red Berry Coffee Bar intends to invigorate the South Bay Area's subdued interest in quality coffee, as well as giving a better day through a better cup.
