Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
Worked at a French-themed breakfast place for two years before being taken on at Yellow Wood and that's when my quest for best coffee really took off. Have worked there for nearly two and a half years before getting a second job at Pacific Bay Micro-Roastery recently.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Any - I guess the US coffee meccas in Portland and Seattle would be a good start or places I've heard really good things about like Australia, Canada or the places where coffee is deeply rooted in the culture like Western Europe
About Me:
I race road bikes for Taleo Racing which also receives a sponsorship from Yellow Wood. I've recently been able to borrow a West Bend II Popper so I've been experimenting with roasting a great deal and even cupped some of my 2nd batch of roasting today with the head roaster of Pacific Bay. I'd like to learn how to roast eventually or go to Nursing school - whichever comes first. Coffee, medicine - the two are almost interchangeable to me. Well, it kind of goes beyond just the drinks after all - coffee isn't just about pouring art or educating customers on differences and nuances but also about the fact that coffeeshops are microcosms unto themselves. People are social animals and thrive in environments where they can engage with other people.
