I am looking for a new way to serve in-house tea at my cafe. I like the glass tea pots, but they are pricey and people walk out with them often, costing me a lot of money. I am trying to avoid making customers feel like they need to keep coming up asking for more hot water. Does anyone use hottles? They are only 10 oz so I thought this would be an issue too.
I am interested in hearing what other cafes do! Thanks!

they are great and i also sell them , you can buy by the case (30) and use them for your tea and customer are amazed about and buy them very often!
I don't think your current tea service is an issue at all. It sounds great. It's something else internally that needs to change.
What kind of customers do you have? Do enough really steal that it's an issue?
If it's more than once, perhaps the vibe/ambiance of your shop is attracting the wrong people. Stealing sucks @ss.
Serving tea in a manner that allows you to be unattentive will lead to attracting more of those customers who like to steal. You're only dealing with a symptom, not the cause.
