We're looking for a space-saving super automatic espresso machine for our coffee shop's drive through. We're considering a La Cimbali M2, but I happened to run across a local seller with a Nuova Simonelli Master Cappuccino at a very good price. It was owned by a wealthy home user and is in nearly new condition.
Is this machine appropriate for commercial use? Anybody have any experience with it?

Hi,
Here's all the literature: http://nuovasimonelliusa.com/master_coffee.html
I always prefer traditional machines to superautos. The barista has more control over the quality of the cup. I also recommend never buying used superautos as they are very complicated machines. There may well be a reason the seller is offering it so cheap - there could be a hidden problem with it that could cost you a bomb to repair.
If you consider the Astoria Argenta "Big Gulp", it will keep up with the Master Capp in production, it takes up about the same counter space, and the big one is it has a double-tall 9" clearance from portafilter spout to drip tray which allows you to serve directly into paper cups as large as 24 oz. It even ships with a Bestmax filter system.
