I get the feeling that many who really have an opinion or have competed in the last few years don't want to rock the boat. The Aurelia was a big up grade for the Millrock. The steam control switch was fine with the latte art tip on the wand..,but with a regular tip? I don't know. The wait for the milk to get to a good temp was a bit long... really long. But the milk turned out good. I would not want that wait in a cafe setting. There are other tips for the wands. I must say the case on the Aurelia looks like a grade school calculator,as do it's buttons. The knob on the Adonis had a big gap in the response and felt like a chromed piece of plastic and to slick for really use. Great that has a big boiler but the water in the boiler of any espresso machine is no good for tea or americanos. If we go to Stumptown, Intelli.La, Albina Press, Ritual, Barefoot,Gimme'... the list goes on and on. They don't use LM, Kees, or Synesso because WBC has. But because they look great and work amazing!!! La Marzocco will be missed at competions. But not in the shops we love. And you sure didn't see 4 of anything else at Slow Food Nation..?
I was thinking it was going to be Lavazza. The pod brewer, and Mr. Coffee for the grinder. Guess I was wrong. Maybe next year. ;-)
