The community can certainly help itself out by continuing to provide useful feedback here. If the guys at Nuova are interested in making a great machine, then our feedback will have results. I don't think they would be here if this was not the case.

Nuova, it's on your shoulders now...
I hear the mythos' are quick... Cool! Learning is good..Teflon, light, PID., anyone? Yes please!

ill have mythos from nuova simonelli in few weeks so ill write you all more about. as for lights, new machine from nuova simonelli has lights just below group heads, look a like lm, not that much light but anyway, looks ok. they said in copenhagen that they were first with led lights oposite to lm halogen in tokyo, never mind, its nice to work with lights on your machine, im so happy that my gb5 is with them and its so much more fun to work, also teflon covered portafilters and steam wands, everything that helps barista in work is welcome from any firm, good for simonelli as new wbc sponsor, new stuff to learn for all of us
Played with it.. But thats not wbc machine. I bet your wife would have to think about the Aurelia in the kitchen in stead of a sexxy LM fb I love you on the counter?

anyone who has played with the NS victoria Arduino Adonis machine will have noticed controllable led lighting for their shots and as slightly newer machine I'm assuming that this is the kind of progression the WBC mc will have. Also anyone worried about the appearance check out the Adonis - if they can make machines this beautiful I have high hopes!!!!
though those LM's in copenhagen were so gorgeous - my wife even said she'd let me have one in the house!!!!
Please be aware that my study was flawed in that the Aurelias that are out in the shops now, like the one I tested, are not like the competition spec machines that will be used.
The breif experiment performed here is not consistant with the procedures of the WBC Standards Committee. As well the function of the hx and group head is very different than what is described, as the hx is separate from the group and no boiler water is in contact with the group. I would not recommend a ten second flush on this machine, but a one to two second flush when the pf is removed to dose and tamp. I will happily explain the proper workings of this machine to any who are curious. I can be reached 8-4:30, West Coast!, at 360.366.2226, or via email, ben@nuovadistribution.com. I am real excited to be a part of the WBC and think that given a chance, people will be very happy with the Aurelia.
i was waiting for how long nuovasimonelli people will wait to react. and it was fast, that shows to me that will be good for all baristi in future with new sponsor even im using gb5. as from my talks with nuova people in copenhagen, they were putting so much into becoming a sponsor, even in tokyo and milano, they were talking about it so passionate...anyway, cant wait for fiera trieste to take my mythos home and see how it works in daily and hard work!
BEN IS THE MAN =)

Anyone else concerned about the PF basket capacity? Always been a complaint of mine with the Nuova's... Rarely my favorite profile outta them... Easy fix in a cafe... not so easy (legal) in a comp. Hope this wasn't already addressed. lol Anyone have some Nuova's double baskets for sale?
The basket that will be used is a conical double basket with a ridge, not the standard Simonelli straight sided basket with a ridge.

Whats the difference in capacity? If any?
I think the comp basket hold about 15-16 grams. Ben do you have the accurate #????

You can fit 18 to 20 grams.
