Hi all, have a nagging little problem...the overhead lighting in my shop does not work it's way to the operational side of our espresso machine very well. Not an issue when the sun is up and we're getting lots of ambient light, but visibility to the extraction and sometime to the milk ptichers when steaming are not terribly good when we're relying on artificial. Some of this I can fix with with more/better/angled lighting from above and behind, but I was wondering if anyone has a more elegant solution for getting light to the group heads & filters, so we can have an easier time gauging extractions visually. I'm on a Linnea 4-group.

la marzocco calls it; barista lights! i have them installed on my gb5 and fb80
can be fixed on linea too...
or simple as the idea behind the barista lights way back in stockholm; go to (as they went that time due dark in winter time) ikea shop and buy led lights and just fix them behind the groups!!!

let there be light!
Merci! Will have to look into this...
i grabbed a couple of those gooseneck lights with c-clamp bases at ikea and mounted them on the windowsill behind my machine. gives me more flexibility. grouphead illumination is less of a problem for me than being able to see milk when i'm steaming it, and the goosenecks fix that. at any rate, nik is right - ikea's your best bet.
