Today I am enjoying a very nice organic Sumatra from Salt Lake Roasting Company in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Coffee always tastes better when on vacation.

All the best,

Spencer

Honduras Jesus Morena Micro Lot Pour Over - Roasted by Brandon at Water Avenue Coffee

Big buttery mouthfeel, sweet berries.
I'm sitting with some Ethiopian Amaro Gayo that is truly an outstanding cup of coffee. I think I've gotten spoiled with all the good Ethiopians in the last year or two, lots of blueberries and strawberry jam and complexity like crazy. Sadly, with all the ECX changes going on it seems it may be a while before we see any great ones again.
Ethiopian Shakisso Sun-Dried. A hint of berries and black tea with a bit of citrus and a baker's chocolate finish. A mild acidity to it which i am not a huge fan of, though.
Also had Teka Burundi yesterday... swing and a miss by my standards.
I have a Bali Blue Moon bag sitting in front of me right now. The roaster was Ogeechee River Coffee in Statesbouro, GA. I highly recommend their beans.

Bali Blue Moon organic: Pour-over (donut dripper)

Wide spectrum of flavors. Cinnamon, basil, chocolate, anise, guava, lemon. What's in your cup today?
Tanzanian Peaberry, roasted to about 20 seconds into second crack, pulled as an espresso. Honestly, quite nice. Sharp, but not so much, creamy and hints of fruit.
Spitfire Espresso from Evocation Coffee.

It's nice, but still too fresh. It'll be better in a couple of days, I think.
SO shot of Guat El Injerto... Way too fresh, but I knew it was going to be. Granny Smith caramel apple... vividly and without question. So delicious.

No coffee for me, a nice cup of Mighty Leaf Organic Hojicha Green Tea :)
It was super tart today (although after I left I imagine you probably played around a bit anyway) and I couldn't tame the "granny" of the apple. I think in 4-6 more days we'll be looking at something more like Apple Jacks.

BTW, we seriously need to do some Apple Jacks Capps w/ the Guat, as in have some Apple Jacks milk sitting around for just such a request. Man I want some Apple Jacks... :0)

Flores Bajawa Ngura. Delicious organic coffee from the eastern edge of Indonesia. This is full bodied with a buttery texture. There is also a nutty aftertaste to this smoov coffee.
