I'd skip it and buy something nice for your workers instead.

I've had the 'pleasure' to use this machine and I disliked just about everything in it. The steaming lever is annoying, the steam wand was short, portafilters felt plastic y, there was next to none head room with stock portafilters and baskets (16g of coffee was already on the limits) and even the noise it made was awful.

We've only ever used Rancilio in our three shops since we opened 15 years ago so take this for what it's worth but we use an Epoca in two stores and the only drawback we've seen is that we can't put any paper cups larger than 10oz under there. Otherwise we run a whole espresso bar on an Epoca and we and our staff have no complaints. With any machine maintenance is key.

I agree w/ most of what you're saying. I've used a 1 group Epoca, and had the same issues... short steam wand, no head room in portafilter, and it's already overfull w/ 15-16 grams, then sometimes it leaks out the side during the extraction. I don't know about the larger Rancilio equipment, but judging by some of the smaller capacity stuff I've used including this machine and small Rancilio grinder, you could do better Marek.

I have a 2 gp epoca that I have been using for about 6 years. It is a great machine, very reliable. If you take care
of your equipment it generally does pretty good. I really like the new epoca, it has some nice features.
