Hi Everyone,

I stumbled across this article today...

Apparently, in response "to customer demand for larger cold beverages", Starbucks is testing a 31-oz size for their iced tea and iced coffee. They're calling it the "trenta".Yikes. :-\

This may be the funniest April Fools joke I saw this year. You did see the date on the press release, didn't you?

Ha, I didn't notice. One of my friends linked it on their facebook and I saw it right after I read this post so I wanted to pass it on...that's good though.

Almost all of my competitors are carrying 32oz cold drinks! they are priced between 6-8 dollars! I don't know whether or not to jump on the bandwagon here- I mean seriously- 32 oz!
I'm sorry. What is that line,,,,,"Forget about it". I wish I had more for you about this.

So wrong on so many levels. I thought 16oz were bad enough.. hopefully they will take an age to reach Australia!
Really- who is buying these?? High school kids that are trying to prove a point? I don't see it worth going out and buying the cups. One of the stands near me sells a 32 oz with ONE shot for 6.75. That is like a pint of milk! I just can't bring myself to do it.

Sounds like a good opportunity to consider what your shop is about. Do things for good reasons, reasons that you believe in.

I do wonder how much ice vs product your competitors are giving out for that price... If that cup was full of ice and then the drink was poured in they may only be serving 16oz of product. If you look at it that way, its not nearly so ludicrous of a size (not a great value for the customer though). They're probably doing frappe drinks in them though...
Did I miss something? Like most of the year? Is it April 1st. again already?
Just my 2more oz. worth.
