I feel like we all tried things and they've either failed or maybe they didn't go off as smoothly as would be desired.
I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas or failed attempts that they'd care to share. It doesn't matter if they are region specific or if they could easily affect the entire industry. The point here is simply to save each other the struggle of failure, kind of a learn from the mistakes of others, rather than keep stepping on our own toes as an industry.
I also know that as much as a lot of us don't care to admit it openly, we are all in competition with each other, to an extent; with that in mind please feel free to make your responses as general as you care.
For instance:( this is not just a random example, it's really one we have had to deal with)
We make a drink combining the idea of a milkshake with espresso, and it is one of our most popular drinks. It can also sit in a cup longer than a frappe and not separate, another great selling point. We started off using a soft serve machine, extreme suck! We eventually saved up enough to get an actual cooler and real ice cream from a well known ice cream company, which also made the drink, again, easier to sell.
