Is anyone using the Macap M5 Digital Espresso Grinder and are you happy with it? I have not used the stepless doserless grinders before but the concept makes sense.
After doing more homework on this I didn’t realize how slow the M5 is. I will more than likely end up going with a compak K10 unless someone has a better idea.

Gary..... regarding the Macap 58mm series. At home on my test bar, I use a Macap M4 stepless doser. (doser...I prefer the grounds have a "babysitter" place to go if I'm distracted.) BTW, the Macap sweeps cleaner than most other dosers. Under the bar, I added an analog 0-60 second, auto-reset timer. This isn't a retail setup, although at times with small groups coming over it might as well be. And you're right, the smaller Macap series is appreciably slower when compared to the larger commercial grinders, but in my opinion, these units are totally competent in lower volume situations, economical, and great for secondary decaf grinders, or for botique coffee bars where you want to offer an assortment of SO's, etc.

There's a multi-grinder bar at Santo Grao Cafe, San Paulo Brasil, that I video'd (halfway into video):
