I have a slim mill, and it was awesome, but...unfortunately it broke, in an almost unfixable manner. What happened is the part of the axel that grips a plastic insert to turn the burs stripped out the plastic insert. Basically, when I turn the handle, it just tightens the burs all the way. I spent the better part of 3 hours trying to fix it, jam stuff in it to grip it...but it was all a no go.
I've been considering the Baratza Virtuoso, but the price always makes me think. I want well ground coffee quickly, but still..200+ is tough on the wallet.
Is the skerton faster than the slim mill? Also, I know it wouldn't have the same problem because the the way it's built is different.
