barista, coffee enthusiast, industry professional, consultant
Where are you located? ( City and Country )
Minneapolis, MN
How many years have you been in the industry?
Lifelong passion, 7 years as a professional
If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
no
Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
My first real job in coffee was with a product/machine importer in Minneapolis as the office/sales assistant where I had the opportunity to do a little bit of everything from placing product and small wares orders to menu development and beverage training. I was able to help with every step of opening your own coffee shop under the mentorship of some amazing industry leaders.
I have also worked as a barista, manager, trainer and store opener with both indie and chain operations.
I currently work with roasters, importers, distributors, and chain accounts across North America.
I also serve on the SCAA which has been such an amazing and eye opening experience, I can not wait to learn more!!!!!
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Any
About Me:
I love coffee; the social issues it encompasses as a commodity, the personalities it attracts as an industry, the geographical scope of use, the history steeped in controversy and revolution, the exalting experience of a quality cup....
Oh, and long walks on the beach...
About My Company:
My company represents a range of specialty products to the beverage industry and helps manufacturers launch their concepts nationwide. We also consult on beverage solutions, industry trends, marketing and menu development.
Hello Nicole, I can tell coffee is ur passion and that is awesome. Hope you can read my article called the ART OF COFFEE; perhaps I can share more about my passion as well.
Hey Nicole: I'm so glad you liked the article, I enjoy even writing about it, in fact I'm in LA right now flying to Guatemala, I will be at the plantation on Saturday, I will have some coffee, sorry you are to far. Hey yeah sounds great, we can learn and share more about our passion for coffee. I was in MN a while ago, in August and that good, the weather was awesome, hey do you Skype???
Yep. Busy....but all good. Lotsa travelling and more in sight. Off to Honduras again in a couple of weeks....

I just emailed Morgan - he is one in a million what a great client he has been... so smart and it was (is) a joy to work with him and help him from day on on his bar. It is doing so great tooooo. So what a great place to be stuck. Are u still there? Were you skiing in CO.?
Thanks for the kind words Nicole, The reason I added 'well relatively.." was because I have a good agenda.. which is to make my world better one coffee at a time! I would love to make it to MN, hopefully I can.. I'm in the process of setting up a new Roasting / training facility at the moment, so once thats up and running.. then I can focus on some overseas work. Keep in touch, Talk soon ; )

hey Nicole, no problem let me know when do you want to come to Guatemala, we are at 75 degrees now, I mean you can get a tan if you want. Im sorry to hear about the cold weather. Hope to hear from you soooooooooon ,
I suppose it helps that the plate is sitting on a bag of Esmeralda, but I don't know...your photo is...is something else.
The Kopplin photos turned out decent enough. Definitely some usable stuff there. The steaming puck, however, will have to be attempted another day. The lighting was all wrong.
Hi Nicole, I`m working on a new venture (to promote the consumption of specialty coffe and the barista profession), and I would be very grateful if you could give me your opinion about it (I just sent an email to your AR`s address). Regards, Federico
Good to hear that your still kickin.. ha ha.. keepin busy is what you do best. You have me hooked on Hemp Milk by the way. Its the best thing ever. And very healthy for you. A lil spendy.. but its like paying top dollar for a good coffee.. ya know! ha ha.. Keep in touch!
Hey Chica....good to see you, if only briefly. Perhaps you can work your way down to running 1-2 booths rather that the 5-6 or whatever the ridiculous number was, and we can hang out some in MN....
