Time we were getting the act together.

Who's showing well down your end of the country?
  • Chris Miller

Using Matthew Algie. Funny, your doing work there. I've tried to get out there to see what exactly they do and why does our milk change it's frothing properties! They never seem to get back to me though.
  • Jen

cool cheers for forwarding the info :) and knowing your on the panel of judges will only make me worse haha, I was making coffee for one of our reps the first time I met him, and i was shaking with nerves I nearly dropped the latte! Feck it i need to get over it I'm gonna enter woohoo! can ya just enter the actual IBC straight away or is there a qualifier first or something?
  • James Hoffmann

Never did work out what the problem was - the guys who restored it came in to sort it out. It looks like something was loose but I wasn't around to poke my nose into it to see what was what.

    Thanks again for your help!
  • Chris Miller

I like them but did have a few ups and downs with some of the blends we tried. I'm open to coming up to bewleys to sample some wares! Could do with getting some fresh ideas too.

    Hi!
Hey it's neat that you're in tech repair. We're working on some interesting things at my shop currently (ever have line pressure at 8 bar!?!). Yikes. We're having fun with it, installing a pressure reducing valve (that helps a great deal). Have any crazy repair stories?
    Cheers From Ottawa, Canada

haha ya it's without a doubt a freakazoid situation. I'd love to see the pics of the CMA, sounds like a cool project. Afraid the closest I've been to Ireland is witnessing Mr. WBC himself at the Canadian nationals. Lovely guy!

Cheers! Demians, Damians, Damions, Damianos, and Damjans unite!

Just read about Bewley's increased fairtrade commitment. SOPPEXCCA is an amazing organization and Fatima Ismael is a badass. Glad to see you're working with them.

Thanks for the great advice! We will definitetly make time for Bewley's. Yes, unfortunately we only have 5 days in Ireland. We'd stay longer if we could. I think after Dublin we head out to Sligo and Mayo for 2 days or so. Any good cafe's out there?

Should kick around the Temple Bar area on New Years Eve. Will you be in that area as well? Hahah! Would be strange if we ran into eachother. :) !

i've just started making messenger bags out of coffee bags,
i like to sew, and people like having accessories, especially ones featuring things they like i.e. coffee, and everyone's all about recycling right now, so that's even better!
i'm on a hunt for more bags, if you happen to know where i can get any...

...and i didn't even see there was a face in there!!! woah!
  • Debra

Ah, It is actually very sunny (have to wear shades) and warm. 78 degrees Farenheit. Try to stay dry and warm.
