If you are a barista or shop, are you interested in a barista exchange with another coffee shop/barista?
maybe
About Me:
I live on the east coast of Canada with my wife Beverly.
We raised three kids... been blessed with two grand-children.
We have one dog and two cats
I grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada with my sister Evelyn living in our parents home.
Evelyn my wiser and older sister lives in Scarborough. She's the editor of the Thursday File
Our small family moved to the east coast in October, 1988, when I took a job at Co-op Atlantic as Art/Creative Director, then after 13 years with the company I started working on my own from my home studio.
I paint in Watercolour, I publish the 'Thursday File'
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
i want to go to canada some time this year, passport stuff tho.
i just got back from my trial run of my performance for the NWRBC that is happening this weekend. super excited.
have a good one!
Welcome Back !- I love Canada. stayed in Windsor on a business trip a few years back . It was beautiful. Was it a holiday or buz trip?
p/s the closest I been to Canada lately is Ohio- Oct. 2008 ,Halloween party-lol
Thanks steve..,glad to have new good friend.Nice to great day..
can share about the coffee in detail.. Indonesia specially coffee bean luak, have to know more detail..
Hey Steve, thanks for the welcome. My hubby and I are in the process of opening a coffee/tea house and I stumbled on this sight while researching. What a great resource. I'll have lots of questions along the way and hope there are some experts here that can lend a hand.
Sue
Thanks for the visit Steve. Are you sure that your coffee cup is not
frozen to your bottom lip? 8-) You have some brrrrr weather up north!
Ditto, have a good weekend
Thanks for the warm welcome, Steve -- much needed as it's quite chilly here as well! Did you manage to visit Manic and Ideal? They're two of my favourite places here. Do you have any recommendation for coffee shops in NB? I'm hoping to make it out there on an east coast road trip some time this summer.
Thanks Steve. Its polar opposites here. I am currently in Singapore...its 32 degrees (Celcius). Having morning Coffee at a quiet cafe near my Hotel. Blue sky, gentle sea breeze blowing in off the South China sea. Ideal!
i'm really enjoying the thursday files! ironically i was right in the middle of Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink" when i read the quotes from Tipping Point! I love his essays. He has a new one that just got released as well.
I cannot even imagine tempartures like those that you have. Had minus 2C here last week and people thought the world was ending. Just watching a prog on tv about Americas toughest prisons. You really dont take any shite over there. DM
Greetings! lol. I have to be on my profile more often lol. Im trying to get some american coffee over for our newest coffee masters to try. I know I'm jumpingin haha but would you know a site or anything? Willing to pay to discover new great coffees. x :)
Hey Steve,
Just like Vanessa below here, I often neglect to check the bottom of my profile to see messages and I just realized that you were looking for a mug back in December. In case you haven't already gotten one, you can pick them up, along with other merch, at http://www.coffeekids.org/shop.
