Use live nearby in pdx, now I manage a store across the street from Yale. Congratulations on the win. I'll get you into skull and bones if you pass the recipe. Any tips on preparing to storm the RBC?
just so you know i have also been brewing the beer except that i forgot to get bottle caps and never bottled my beer. when we meet in the twin cities i suggest a little beer off. winner gets all the yams in the atlantic. you want some of this?!?!?!!?!?
Austin does have a crazy live band seen and even though it's a big city, it still has a small town feel with a touch of freakness to it. You should experience Austin if you come to Texas.
Billy,
Congratulations on the NW barista championship. I am from Duluth, MN and will be moving to Portland in June. I am graduating from college in May and am itching to pursue the coffee industry professionally. I sent you a letter and a resume about a week ago to inquire about obtaining a position at The Albina Press. I will be in Portland during the first week of March and was wondering if I could meet with you or anyone else at your cafe to discuss the possibility of employment. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Things are beginning to get blurry - it was an awesome weekend and now I'm on my way to the big Jam (see you there?)
Thought of you often over the course of the competition - it was refreshing to be among so many first-timer who actually did have espresso-sensibility and a desire to make the format good. Hopefully the kind of attitudes and signs of things to come in all regions.
Billy,
I stopped by your cafe, but just missed you. One of your baristas pulled me a nice shot and I had a chance to speak with Kevin. He said the two of you will be at the USBC in Minneapolis in May. I will be there and will hope the meet you then. I also left my resume with Kevin and will contact you in May about openings at one of your cafes. I will be moving to Portland in June. See you at the USBC.
Thanks for the invite to the meet and greet tonight. My flight out leaves earlier than I thought though so I'll miss it. I'm leaning toward getting Anfims for our shops and keeping the Mazzers on the line for busy times like you mentioned. Thanks for a VERY good shot and good luck with the new location. Let me know if you make it to DC and I'll buy you a shot at the shop (of whatever).
yo billy! i'm going to try to make it to the scaa in may, let's get down and dirty with coffee. i miss you guys alot....more than i thought i would! ha!
Billy, I talked with Terry Z about the new pitcher rinser. I bought the larger one from ep and now that I got it I am wondering if it is really worth $175. He mentioned you really like it and wanted to ask your opinion verses installing a regular sink on my back bar? Let me know what you think. Thanks,
Zach

Billy,
We saw you in the Extreme Latte Art video from ABC and we're looking for a Barista that is interested in doing six or seven short videos for a client of ours on how to pour latte art! Are you interested? Drop me a line... ASAP. We're trying to shoot next week!
Thanks,
Drew

I have to "rack" my stout in a few days then let it sit for another 3 weeks. That's the one that I am really excited about.
