Ancora Coffee Roasters is a Small Batch Artisan Roaster in America's favorite isthmus...Madison, Wisconsin! George and Sue Krug started Ancora in 1993 after falling in love with specialty coffee and the industry during their years in Seattle. They started their dream business in eclectic Madison where Sue went to college and grew up on a nearby farm. Ancora was launched with George roasting in the cafe and Sue behind the bar. Today Ancora has 3 coffeehouses in Madison including the original King Street cafe downtown--which is now home to a Clover! We also wholesale our beans to independent coffeehouses and restaurants around the country.
