Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I was originally trained by a coffeehouse owner who went to the ABC school, and I've been learning even more ever since. I'm a rather wicked latte artist who constantly strives for perfection. I manage a small shop outside of Chicago called The Brothers K Coffeehouse. I truly enjoy helping other people grow in the art of crafting great coffee and espresso, the likes of which should make your toes curl after having imbibed.
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Cities: any where in the US, preferably not too far from Chicago. Countries: Ethiopia, China, Japan, Italy. In that order, but I'd really go anywhere if I had the chance.
About Me:
I live coffee. I eat, sleep, drink, and breathe coffee. There are very few things that get me as hot under the collar as coffee does.
I really, really want to learn how to roast (well), and to hone my palate.
While I may not always seem as in love with the bean as I claim, believe me, I am; and that's all I'm gonna say about that.
I'm always looking for people who can teach me something/anything about coffee, and who want to bend the rules of coffee in order to create new and exciting paths of excellence.
I believe wholeheartedly in the coffee shop experience, and want to mold it into something that is ever changing, and which escapes cliche'. (Cliche' is the bane of my existence.)
About My Company:
When it comes to coffee, we don't mess around.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
All the crazy baristas who have an irrational passion for what we do.
