Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.
I have competed in the Midwest Regional for the last 3 years but skipped out on 2009 due to time and funding. I love to compete but find myself more of a cafe barista who loves his regulars and being behind the bar. Our shop is in Overland Park, KS and has been under a new name since Feb of 08
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Germany, Louisville, Chicago, LA, NY and in that order
About Me:
Lets see, im a 30 yr old male thats been in the industry for about 5 years. I have always wanted to be a barista since the Seattle Grunge scene (i hate this term but have to use it) was around and now I am one. When im not slinging java im curlin up with my wonderful girlfriend Sara, playing with my dog Molly, or playing some Xbox 360. I love all kinds of music and attending live shows.
About My Company:
I now work for RevoCup Coffee Roasting Co. which used to be a PT's Coffee retail location (I came with the shop I guess). We roast our own coffee now which has been an adventure. Im slowly learning more about the roasting side which I hope has helped my palate.
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
ummm...coffee? That was easy, lol. Community! It's a friendly one!! Always changing!
