A Kilted Barista... be still my heart!
Yes we are still looking for a roaster. No reliable timeline as of yet. Still picking up the mess from our former consultant. Please keep in touch.
I couldn't remember how to spell, "You know - Scott Conory’s coffee company in South Carolina or is it North Carolina (I always get them confused), I'm not sure if he does wholesaling but he's a great guy and call him anyway because he loves to be cold called about potential business deals – Driade?”
Please excuse my oversight - I will definitely add you to the preferred list of recommendations!
Greetings from Sonoma County ! Copenhagen calling. Looking forward to seeing you there . Arriving on the 16th and booked at Centrum . Eager to see our many friends from around the world ... Hope all is well . Look forward to catching up ...
Cool to hang out at the Open Eye today with the Marks. Nice shop you got there, really big! And super cool staff. Great work. Maybe I'll catch you next time!
The little bit of training i have had is from the former owner and the espresso 101 dvd. when steaming the milk i leave the steam from the wand wide open to keep the milk rolling until it reaches the desired temp & consistency. Does it make any difference to back the pressure (steam) back half way and keep the milk rolling slowly? which will give me the best product? Thanks
I won't lose touch man. No way. No, not following Elly, screw PBR. ha.
I'm heading over to Houlihan's Specialty Restaurant side. So, I'll be in DC once in awhile (J. Gilbert's) and a few other east coast cities. Really pumepd.
Yes that's right, six months later I'm answering your question (had some technical difficulties there for a while) - I'm working at Gleaner's Cafe in the Italian market. How're things kicking around Chapel Hill?
Hey bro, I"m not gonna make Atlanta unfortunately. I had a death in the family. My Uncle passed away so I'm attending his funneral on Friday. But I certainly have some coffee I could share...It's been a good year of buying for me...! Lets talk!
Happy to do it! And fear not, i may be considering breaking out a revised version of the cherry cordial drink one day..... i'll make sure you get to try one.
How was Atlanta? I hope to be out to a couple regionals... Haven't finalized anything yet, but I'd like to be back in CO...
When the dates are set for Western & SE Regionals let me know.
Hi. In El Salvador... wish you were here. No it didn´t hurt. The AK-47 on my thigh did though. The first one that hurt. Don´t tattoo your inner thigh if you can avoid it.
Awesome, let me know when you get into town. Are you staying at the Kennedy School or McMennemins Edgefield? Both are great! We'll drink coffee, but beers are also in order. :)
It's more or less non existent. There's a mom and pop shop near the courthouse that sells Green Mt Coffee in the morning (close at 2p), a Starbucks and other nat'l chain store on George, and an independent shop on Easton. I don't think it's the one across from Stuff yer Face (the boli place); I think that one burned down :( The indy shop isn't too good, apart from an OK atmosphere.
In other words, NYC, Philly, Princeton, and Lambertville are the nearest places for good coffee! A friend and I are working on a business plan, but I'm not sure if New Brunswick can/would support an independent coffee shop. What do you think?
