**UPDATE** I aparently am making my way around Brisbane but have finally dropped roots at Di Bella coffee at their roastery. I am working in their retail department as a barista and an all round coffee geek. I have had to strip down how i have been making coffee and go back to my basics, which is a good thing, i am learning alot where i am right now. I am extremely passionate about coffee, and the coffee i produce, this being the third different coffee company i have worked for/along side, i have learnt that there is no competition really, each roaster is different, which means each product is different, and yeah, its up to you, the consumer to decide which suites you the best. The best thing about where i live is that there is sooooo many coffee drinkers and outlets to match, that there is no reason to try and compete, which can be reflected in the final product, which is awesome! .
What cities or countries are you interested in traveling to?
Anywhere that has good coffee and a bit of history. Europe fascinates me as well as the Americas.
About Me:
I am a 28 year old coffee nut with a passion for soccer, fast cars, and music- I DJ in my spare time. Born and bred Aussie, have spent a lot of my time travelling around OZ but would love to check out whats happening else where in the world. I like my coffee with a good battering from the high notes and a clean finish, LOVE fruits in the palat, but in saying that i do love a good syrupy shot with solid bass notes. pfffft i just love coffee- and trying to sound like i know what i am talking about, hehehehe.2nd place- AASCA Northern Territory Barista Championships 20083rd place- AASCA Northern Territory Barista Championships 2007
About My Company:
Di Bella coffee is responsible for approx 1.3 million cups of coffee across Australia per year. Which is insane for a company that has only been in the market since 2001. I could ramble on more, but its best to check us out for yourselves :-)
What is your favorite thing about the coffee industry?
the characters you meet, the coffee experiences, the comradmanship (if that is even a word) the fun of it all. And the chance to try good coffee and help others experience good coffee.

I deffinately agree with you on the bitter face guy. In most cases, if someone asks for something disgusting I will say, well let me make it for our way first, and if you don't like it, I will make it the other way, and they almost always like it. The only time that hasn't worked was when some lady insisted on having mounds of foam on her cappuccino. People really do get stuck in a rut when nobody tries to open them up to other possibilities. That could be said for all aspects of life, really.
