  • Clancy

are you comin down for UBC? cus i am competing. If so then yes!
  • Ty Mulholland

We're actually roasting out of the little known town of Kalama. Have been for about 3 years. Just don't tell a lot of people. It's like saying you're a red sox fan and an A'Rod fan at the same time, it just doesn't go over well.
  • Ryan Knapp

sorry for the delayed response. We aren't open yet. We are shooting for early September in downtown Grand Rapids
  • Holly Josey

Not sure what "it is what is it is" means, but it was what it was for sure. :) Was there doing some research on food items and stumbled onto the barista event. Do you know who the judge sitting on the right end was? Middle age male, took charge when there was a technical espresso machine issue. He seemed to know alot about pulling shots, time, etc.
My shop will be in Bellville. Still working with the designer and consultant and the time table looks to be opening in ten to twelve months.
  • Holly Josey

Definately let me know when you guys are in touch in Sugarland. Any time schedules?? Would love to hear what is going on there, and share about my little project in Bellville. Peace.
  • Dan Streetman

I bet that photo was taken in Grapevine TX!
  • Steve MacDowall

I really like the looks of those espresso machine - greetings from Canada - Steve
  • Brian Conroy

This is starting to look like a great Rancilio site. Great job on the look, some day when I grow up. I would like to have a site like yours

Mr. Rancilio is your name. Ken in the ATL
  • Alun Evans

I have to say... I reckon Levers are making a come back! I just got delivery of a 3 group/lever Rapallo (Astoria). Rancilio is still building these beauties as are LaSanMarco and Pavoni...
  • Mike Spence

    Merry Christmas Ken!
  • Jason Dominy

What's up with that profile pic??? SCARY!!! ;-)
  • Neil Balkcom

    Ken,

Long time, no talk... How goes everything? I left Champaign in Oct. and am now in Chicago with Crop to Cup Coffee. Will you be in town for CoffeeFest? If not, I'm sure I'll say hi in Atlanta at SCAA (are you still in Marrieta?).

    Take care!
  • Kurt Stauffer

things are heating up Kenny boy. Turns out my annual pilgrimage to the UP falls on the same weekend as Coffeefest which I'm supposed to be judging some kind of contest or something (at least that's what they told me after I filled out the piece of paper). Anyhoo, check out last years video and tell me, should I go North to get native or go South to hang out with Ken Hall? Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ignfpg5MCmA.
  • Kevin Selig

Hello you crazy dog! Look me up in Chicago, would love to hang with you after the floor closes (especially if you buy!). I will be working the Cappuccine booth and some others. call me when there 612-250-8277
  • Bryan Dyer

    Damn, your a good Barista!
  • Bryan Dyer

Thats right. BVD Almighty will be in the Atl. I'll be snappin necks and cashin checks. Just not sure what day(s) yet. Were trying to keep our travel expenses to a minimum so we can really throw down for the sunken tub & rooftop in April. Can you get my two group covered in cobalt blue velour yet? Gnawgahide is so 60's. Later dude......
  • sophie

Ken, If you have any ideas or what you can share with out a commishion would be great. If I could pay some one to consult me I would. I am disabled and trying to become self suufcient, soo hence. I will only get funds after my business plan is put together and I go to a non profit for my loan. Thats my situation
  • Neil Balkcom

Likewise, man. I'll track you down. Have a safe trip from Marietta!
  • Nathan

hey, i would absolutely love if you could get me that coupon, i would need it for two tickets. thank you!!!
  • Bryan Dyer

Hey Ken, i didnt see you in ATL!!! you were the one reason we were there!!!!
We just went up for the comps on Sat. Jen judged. I schmoozed.
  • Bryan Dyer

.....just when I was getting tired of your chocolates and flowers....
  • sophie

    Hey,
Ken have been having computer issues. Sorry I have not been able to reply back to you. Yeah i don't live too far from Georgia, but it is too far for me right now. darn it I forgot the name of your city, oh yeah Atlanta. I have been to Atlanta 1 time for a concert and got totaly lost.
What I have been reading is opening a coffee shop costs about $ 25,000-$ 35,000. Like when you want a location for a place what do you look for? I have been looking at % of poverty and educational levels from the census, and of course home values and retail sales. where do you look for your research ?
