I'm sorry, we don't have anyone that far out to service the account, but if your ever in Charlotte, Durham, Asheville or Atlanta on a Friday at 10:00 please stop by for our weekly cupping. "
What do you mean by not having anyone to service the account? Does that mean I shouldn't consider you as a possible roaster? Couldn't I get it shipped from the Atlanta location?
  • Mary Schroeder

no problem. It may not have ended the way we would have preferred....but at least it ended right? and now you don't have to drive to Durham.

You're a CAD? I've lurked a few times, but never posted. I'll look for you. My wife's a fairly active CM and the shop is home to Mint Hill CM and Union County Mommies events from time. They're all great groups.

    Hi Banks,
Thanks for the invite. This site is helping me to become re-inspired to make a real go at this podunk redneck town.

Good to hear from you as well. How are you liking BC so far? I hope the move wasn't too awful.

CLT is good. Have some fun stuff happening, including the TNT that Brent, Jason and I are working on building up and the coming of a promising new shop (Central Coffee).

    Take care.
  • David Glick

Still here... Barely. Email me when you get a chance.
  • Chad Maslanka

  • David Glick

Living the dream. Call me on Sunday around 10 am your time.
  • David Glick

Hey, sorry so distant lately. Still going at it, and sorta making some headway. There may be some chance to sell our house and by a building and consolidate. Live up stairs and have the coffee house on the main floor. Will let you know how it works out.
  • Stickman

When I first opened I was importing espresso from all over but my customers didn't think the idea was cool as I did. If you're into getting beans and cupping then I'm in to it too. As close as Vancouver and Seattle and Portland and as far away as square mile or wherever...Maybe a once/month get together at a shop/someone's house in SW BC.
  • Stickman

Hey Banks! I just returned from Vangroovy and a scooter rally! I'm exhausted and a little hung over...

OCtober 10 sounds good. What's the ferrry sched?

We should post this on BX, start a group or something - there is the coffee tasters guild that we could invite members to. I'll have to make you an admin of that. ANy invitees you want to be there?
What do you think we can get for that date?
  • Stickman

What? You don't like communicating through the job search chain?
Yeah, I'm in the shop M-F, usually until about noon or 1. Longer hours these days as I have 2 trainees. One of them mnade me a great cappuccino this afternoon so it's looking good.
I was out with JP Oughtred, Shane from Habit and Rob from Fernwood and I mentioned it to a couple of them - they're interested. Shane hosts regular Tuesday cuppings at Habit but it'll be good to bring in some out-of-town beans.

When are you back from Ontario?
  • Phil Proteau

Hey Banks, things are good in Pennsylvania. How was the move? Is the new job exciting or what?
  • Stickman

Getting a roaster in a few weeks!
  • Stickman

    Banks,
I'm sorry for not getting back to you earlier. Been a mad few weeks. Dog died, roaster training, staff sick, good mood diminished thoroughly. Sorry to have flaked on you.

Do you think we can get one organized for before Christmas?
  • Stickman

    No show for me.
BTW: you've been enjoying one of the nicest summers we've had in this part of the world. Missing home?
  • Laura Heyda

Hey Banks! How's the weather in BC?
