Tell us more about your coffee shop or barista skills.

I've been a bar barista for all 7 years. I have managed PT's Retail for 4 years. I am the 2007 and 2009 Midwest Regional Barista Champion, third place finisher at the 2008 Midwest Regional Barista Competition, and a semi-finalist at the 2007 and 2009 United States Barista Championship. I serve as trainer for our retail staff. I am a member of the Executive Council for the Barista Guild of America

About Me:

I am a coffee fanatic. I love making coffee almost as much as I enjoy drinking it. I am 31, married and have two beautiful daughters. Elizabeth (4) and Abigail (1), and another coming soon (August 2009) Outside of these, I love music and bad movies. I play piano and guitar. I am a major nerd. I love hair band music. I LIVE to cook, particularly grilling, smoking, and anything I can do outside. Inside though, the kitchen is MY room. I don't even let my wife do the dishes. The food-i-ness is my forte.

I love the people; the sense of comraderie and community that is shared by those of us lucky enough to be professionals in this field.
