The equipment is working great--we are so glad that you referred us to our new espresso specialists. We moved to a new location and they helped to hook up equipment etc... and were very patient (it took much longer than expected) They are GREAT Thanks

    Hi Gina-
For me, "favorite" can change daily! If I have to choose one, it would be the Paradise Espresso Classico. Rich and chocolaty, it is delicious as a shot and shows up well in milk.
  • Eric Faust

    Hey Gina,
I would totally be interested in pulling some shots on a GS/3. Are you ever in Duluth?
  • Jacob Limmer

Yeah, my coffee world has been great, thanks! I opened a second store, with a Linea, that has been doing well. I am slowly, but surely learning the nuances of our craft. So, good to see you too and I'll talk to you later!
  • Ellie Matuszak

Is Minneapolis ready for the massive influx of Coffee People? I bet you will be busy...
  • Jon Nodler

I am a barista at ancora. Right now just working 3-4 days a week while i finish up my undergrad, then i will be moving back to mpls in august to (*crosses fingers*) open up a little shop of my own!

Are a lot of minnesotans gonna make it to Milwaukee for the great lakes regional?
  • Dean Rose

Awesome! Let me know how you enjoy it! I hope you like as much as I do!
  • Mike Funk

    Hi Gina,
How is it going up there?
  • Lori Stephens

Hi Gina. Great memory. Yes, my partner Simon and I met you about 1.5 years ago when you were with B & W. We hear you've moved on to Franke??? We've also spent lots of time informing ourselves and immersing ourselves in the specialty coffee biz. Sure... we'd love to chat. How can we reach you? Best, Lori
  • Paul

Me too. Cathy couldn't believe that I'd never met you!
  • Allen Leibowitz

Hey Gina. Of course! Very nice to hear from you. I just unearthed a packet of calibration solution from my desk!
  • Jason Fuerstenberg

I found you! Great to talk to you today...

Good seeing ya this weekend Gina. I'm not sure if you saw mine and Ryan's presentations or not but we managed to finish a respectable 7th and 8th. If I don't see ya sooner I will see you at the SCAA.
  • Ryan Knapp

Hey Gina, it was nice meeting you this weekend. I look forward to the SCAA...also, you said you'd make it down our way again soon, I'm keeping you to that.
  • Greg Filan

    Hi Gina:
Tried sending yu a reply yesterday but I don't think it worked.
I'm good, just started my new gig at BBC. Hope to stay in touch with the gang at FCSNA, especially the sales team.
I hope you're well and things are good.
Did Jason leave Seattle (saw an ad for a new service co.)?

    Cheers, Greg
  • Kevin Selig

    Gina,
Yes, Indeed I would love some help, especially if you still have freshness on you from the competition!
Can you attend and be hear for support and questions?
I have a LaSpaziale 2 group for the event and sent a request out for another machine to both Espresso Midwest and Brandon at Espresso Partners. Any help with another machine would be much appreciated
    As a side note,
Miguel of Paridise Roastry just replied that he and his crew will be attending.
    Thanks

Hey Gina - Do you know the name of the company in Minneapolis that sells optipure filters besides your former employer? I had located them once and now can't remember the name. Thanks!
  • Jacob Limmer

Yeah, that is exactly who I talked to. Thank you very much!

  • Jacob Limmer

hey Gina...I have another question. Do you know anyone that services conti machines in the Cities? Someone that I could consult over the phone even. How's everything otherwise?
  • Eric Faust

    Hi Gina,
Thanks for the message. I have moved back to the Twin Cities and am working at Black Sheep Coffee Cafe. I have also been working a lot with Paradise Roasters. I would love to get in contact with the cafe owner as soon as possible. Please let me know how I can get a hold of him. Thanks for dropping me the note.

    Eric
  • Eric Faust

    Hi Gina,
I stopped at Common Roots the other day and will hopefully be meeting with Danny in the near future. It is a great cafe. I have also been working with Paradise Roasters and am interested in knowing if you could give me a list of the coffee shops in Minnesota that are using La Marzocco's. I am also wondering if there is any potential in working with Franke Coffee Systems. Thanks again for the passing my name along to Danny.
  • Jacob Limmer

Thanks for the leads. I ended up tearing down the machine myself. Fortunately they are pretty easy to work on. I will probably use that contact in the future though. Thanks again!
  • KayJay

Oh Coolio! Yes we should talk!
  • Elizabeth Snodgrass

    Hey Gina,
How's it going? is that your dog??

Hey, Gina. My partner, Megan, and I were set to open in NE on 13th Ave. (Do you know where Lucilles' Flower Shop is, near the 331 Club?)

When it came time to assume possession, our landlord decided he did not want to upgrade his property per the lease agreement and asked us to pay for the upgrade instead. Now we're on indefinite hold. Probably for the best as our landlord was difficult from the beginning and never truly understood the cafe we were trying to create.

For the time being, I'm a roaster/barista @ the Dunn Bros. in Linden Hills (w/ Keith) and Megan works part-time at Anodyne.
  • Matthew David

Haha, I wouldn't say great, but I'm young and have years to learn.
If you're ever in the area I work most weekdays 8-4.
And I see you work for ESI, one of our suppliers. Do you know my boss, Toby?
Anyways, nice to digitally meet you and make sure you stop in for those shots!
  • Ben

Things are going well. How have you been? Hey, Danny found our Linea manual! Yay!
  • Mark Crawford

    Hi Gina-
I just am learning how to do this stuff and just checked my page. I had a little time with "barista judge" Lee Walter in Denver this weekend and caught up. Thanks for saying hi- I'm having a great time in chocolate and we've really created some neat new stuff and got some fun big projects going. Feeling quite appreciated at Mont Blanc!
  • jessica.

Hey Gina! Things are good, cold but good!

The Sheep is doing well, a bit slower like all businesses right now. I've started working with Eric and Pete on beginning my roasting training.. couldn't be happier!

    How are you doing?
  • scottlucey

    thank YOU G! woo hoo!
  • CoffeeBuzzMN

    Hi Gina! :)
  • Greg Filan

    Hi Gina:
Greg A recently told me you've moved to another company so I had to look you up and see what you're doing.
    Hope alls well.
    P.S.
Is your election sorted out yet (did the SNL guy win)?
  • Andrew Jensen

    Hi Gina!
Thanks for the coffee yesterday, I can still taste it.
I'll have to get me one of those contraptions so I can impress the family...
    Love the Barista Dog
